The Texas Observer‘s Gynecological Cover

The Texas Observer‘s “getting a lot of feedback” about their most recent cover illustration. I think it’s kind of awesome. I think it could have been done without the cover lines and been even more powerful.

Full disclosure, I am biased because I’m gonna marry one of their staff writers in 22 (!) days.

The Austin Chronicle did a similar cover in 2006 (which I shamelessly swiped at once for a piece of my own at Talk to Action), but it’s definitely way past time someone did it again.

    ¡Viva the TO! 🙂

If you’ll excuse just a touch of l’esprit d’escalier, did Sid Miller pose for that cover? Cause that’s damned sure a dead ringer for old Sid’s hat.
