Monday Roundup Y’all

Balling baller Nancy Upton.

Relevant to your interests:

  • Dallasite Nancy Upton went on the Today show and balled it up talking about American Apparel. There’s video!
  • Why is everyone just now coming around to this Wayne Christian quote admitting anti-choicers are not just against abortion rights, but also contraception and health care? Because he has said this before, I am pretty sure. Regardless, this is a great roundup of the implications of what Christian and his fellow proudly ignorant and hateful folk believe.
  • Some dude has been impersonating Vince Young and he’s also a sex offender.
  • A federal report says that a Houston outfit of the Catholic Charities USA deliberately covered up sexual abuse of immigrant kids at one of their shelters. Because if the sexual abuse came out, they believed that would tarnish the shelter’s reputation. Because no one has ever heard of kids being abused at the hands of Catholic officials before, and definitely not of that ever being covered up ever if that happened.
  • Settle in with the Houston Chronicle‘s “Confessions of a Cold-Blooded Killer” about a man already serving life-ish in prison who’s said he raped and murdered a bunch of girls, but he was never prosecuted despite confessing to the DA.
  • Boston.com on the shit state of health care access in Texas.
