A Big Week For Big Government In Texan Uteri

SURPRISE! The guy who wants to track abortion-seeking women, Big Brother-style, is a middle aged white guy!

There’s so much that went on in the past week with regard to reproductive health in Texas, I just had to kind of sum it all up on Reproductive Health Reality Check this morning. There’s the Center for Reproductive Rights suing the State of Texas over mandatory transvaginal ultrasounds, legislators using the special session to defund Planned Parenthood, and an Arlington representative who wants to collect Big Brother-type information on women who seek abortions:

“If you’re a Texan woman who’s been popping extra ibuprofen in hopes of calming the twists and turns in your ladybits this week, it might be because there’s a whole passel of legislators, bureaucrats and activists fighting over and for your reproductive rights–and that’s not completely a bad thing.”

Find out how not-completely bad, and also how totally bad, things are by reading the rest.
