Lisa Stone's friends paid for a billboard on the side of highway 635 in Mesquite hoping to find answers.

Morning, etc.

Regarding the Abilene man story. One of the dude’s quotes is:

” ‘The number of heterosexual women who are contracting HIV today is scary,’ he said, the illness often brought home to an ostensibly monogamous relationship by a husband who is unfaithful or living, like Stalder was, a double life.”

    but also:

“To this day, the person he was married to ‘does not know’ of his diagnosis, he said. ‘We were divorced by then,’ he said.”

So this guy thinks he’s some kind of advocate for those affected by HIV/AIDS to “speak out,” but he never told his wife that he got an HIV-positive diagnosis? I guess the fact that they were divorced when he was diagnosed made it impossible that he might have been positive when they were married? Maybe there are some facts missing from the story, but it sounds like he’s right to call himself a hypocrite if he couldn’t even “speak out” to tell his ex-wife that she should be tested.
